SOLAR DCDB
Taking into consideration the diverse needs of our clientele, we specialize in manufacturing DC Distribution Boxes (DCDB) in various sizes tailored to specific requirements. Our range encompasses an assortment of DC Distribution Boxes, varying from enclosed designs to transparent configurations, to cater to distinct demands. The Combiner Box, an integral component, amalgamates the outputs from multiple strings of PV modules for seamless connection to the inverter. This device finds its primary application in larger-scale commercial and utility PV power plants. Meanwhile, the Distribution Box serves as a hub for the input overcurrent protection fuse assemblies of multiple strings. Moreover, it integrates these inputs into a unified main output. Our comprehensive product lineup features an array of choices, including the Solar DC Combiner Box with 10 inputs and 10 outputs, complete with a 1000V DC isolator; the Solar DC Distribution Box with 12 inputs and 12 outputs; the Solar DCDB with 6 inputs and 6 outputs,
accompanied by a DC SPD and DC MCB; the Solar DCDB designed for 1 to 3.5 kW systems, with 1 input and 1 output, furnished with a DC MCB and DC SPD; the Solar Array Junction Box with 5 inputs and 5 outputs, equipped with a 1000V DC SPD and 1000V DC MCB; and lastly, the Solar Array Junction Box with 6 inputs and 1 output, accompanied by a DC SPD and DC MCB.
The components included in these products encompass:
- Solar DC Fuse with Fuse Holder (1000V)
- DC Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) rated at 500V
- DC Surge Protective Device (SPD) rated at 600V
- DC Cable
This selection caters to a comprehensive spectrum of requirements and configurations within the realm of solar power systems.
INTRODUCTION
Solar DCDB
Each inverter and charge controller, whether integrated into a utility-interactive system or functioning independently, is characterized by a specific DC input voltage range that necessitates strict adherence. In batteryless grid-tied setups, inverters demand higher DC input voltages, typically ranging from 90 to 850V. This range is usually achieved by connecting 4 to 26 modules in series.
For compact grid-tied PV systems (with capacities below 5 kW and operating at 600V DC), the configuration often entails just one or two series-connected strings of modules. The ENRICH Team customizes the Solar Junction Box (SJB) based on the technical specifications of both the inverter and the solar PV modules. This tailored configuration accommodates the requirements of the setup.
A Combiner Box provides an ideal enclosure for housing series fuses and for parallel connections of the series string inputs. This design choice effectively reduces the quantity of array output wires that need to be routed to the inverter location.
In some instances, manufacturers of grid-direct inverters incorporate series fusing within the inverter itself or within its associated disconnect box. This design approach can potentially obviate the necessity for a distinct combiner box. Nevertheless, opting for a PV combiner box positioned in proximity to the PV array grants convenient access to the wiring of each series string. This proves advantageous for diagnosing issues within a malfunctioning PV array, negating the need for constant travel between the array and the inverter location.

FAQ's
Solar panels generally require very little maintenance in order to function. The only thing they need is a periodic light cleaning to make sure dirt, leaves, and other debris aren’t obstructing the sun’s rays
The DC Distribution Box is used to provide flexibility for the operator of the solar power plant to disconnect and connect both the inward solar supply and battery terminals. Here an MCCB and a fuse of proper rating depending upon the capacity of the power plant and the battery bank are used.
